As you know our community faces a critical need to improve access to quality healthcare. Watsonville Community Hospital plays a vital role in serving our families, neighbors, and friends, but unfortunately, aging facilities and equipment limit its capacity to deliver the best possible care.
Measure N, is a crucial ballot measure that will invest in the future of healthcare in the Pajaro Valley. Measure N proposes the sale of bonds to generate $6.8 million annually for the Pajaro Valley Health Care District. These funds will be used to:
1. Purchase the hospital property, eliminating rent payments and allowing for reinvestment in vital resources like nurses, doctors, and more services.
2. Modernize aging infrastructure, from roofs and plumbing to heating and ventilation, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
3. Expand and renovate the emergency room, reducing wait times and providing better care for our community's most vulnerable moments.
4. Upgrade imaging systems, ensuring access to state-of-the-art technology for accurate diagnoses and faster treatment.
Expand local healthcare services, reducing the need to travel outside the community for essential care.
This investment in our local hospital is not just about bricks and mortar; it is about investing in the health and well-being of our entire community. With your endorsement, you can send a powerful message that we prioritize access to quality healthcare for all.
The Measure N bond will have:
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Please let me know if you have any questions.
